Models 4DA4000, 4DA5000 and 4DA6000 by ISTOBAL provide high quality water for the rising steps of the car wash process. With salinity levels below 50 ppm, a stain-free wash can be ensured. Equipment features:

• Production flexibility (models 4DA5000 and 4DA6000). Thanks to the modular design, up to 4 membranes can be fitted in cases of greater demineralized water demands as a result of a facility extension. The inclusion of membranes may require pre-treatment to be extended.

• Flexibility in regulation. Equipment regulation can be adapted to the facility’s needs and the quality of the water to treat, this ensuring optimum production and conversion levels.

• Pre-treatment optional extras. Depending on the quality of the water to treat, different pre-treatments are necessary. ISTOBAL recommends to carry out previous testing.

The recycler equipment has been designed for treating and reusing water from car washing (rollovers, tunnels and jet wash installations). The main component is the zeolite filter. Between 1 and 3 zeolite filters are installed depending on the flow rate of water to treat. The quantity of water to be treated on a facility depends on the type of machine (rollover, tunnel, etc.), and the optional extras installed (under chassis wash, high pressure wash, etc.). Where several wash machine are installed, such as high throughput tunnels, a study of consumption is needed. Zeolite filters, and all optional extras, are supplied fitted in a rack, so that assembly is much easier, avoiding having to make connections between devices in the washing facility. It is a “plug & play” system, where only the water input and recycled water outlet connections have to be made.

Istobal achieves zero water disposal in the car wash thanks to its pioneering biological recycler with ultrafiltration system, which recycles up to 100% of the water in each car wash in its most advanced version. It is the first biological cleaning and recycling equipment capable of treating 100% of the water from the vehicle’s exterior wash and obtaining the highest quality for its later reuse in all wash stages, including osmosis in the final finish, where fresh water is traditionally used. Suitable for car, bus, tram and truck wash areas, this innovative water recycler saves on average 220 liters of water per car wash (300 liters per bus, 870 per train and 1160 per truck wash) by reusing 100% of the water. The new Ultra-Filtration Biological Recycler is a modular, versatile and compact unit that is easy to install. It is also a fully automated, connected recycling system that allows remote monitoring for better maintenance. It features a touch-screen control panel for flow control, error control, display of accumulation tank and chemical levels, as well as recycling rate, among other features.

This treats 100% of the incoming water, using recycled water during the initial washing phases in gantry and tunnel systems, achieving up to an 80% reduction in fresh water consumption during an automatic wash. With a focus on sustainability, it represents a significant step towards conserving vital resources and improving operational efficiency in the industry. The equipment consists of a “plug & play” system, designed for a treatment flow rate of 5 m³/h and 10 m³/h (recycling capacity for up to 3 wash gantries operating simultaneously).
